Country Music Video

 
“Welcome to Hazevile” is a cartoon music video, animated by myself for country singer and songwriter Brantley Gilbert. I began with simple caricature sketches of the artists, then working with the client, fully fleshed out the pencil doodles into character art that represented the musicians.

Backgrounds were painted digitally using guache style brushsets to replicate the same matte background art style of traditional 2D animation. Storyboarding was the most important part in creating the video, laying down the groundwork for story, pacing, scenery and motions.
