VHS Stuff


A hobby of mine when I’m not working is collecting old video equipment. One of my favorite things to mess with are VCR’s and VHS video camera’s. I’ve amassed a small collection, including a curcuit bending device to mess with analogue signals directly to create trippy and fun abberations.

You can see a bit of VHS glitchiness in a lot of my projects, which I achieve through directly transfering video onto VHS tape and then modifying signals and then capturing said video. Using this method I get the most genuine and real retro distortions.

For this project I was asked by the band The Dream Today if I could transfer their full visual album to VHS tapes that they could sell, which I gladly accepted to do. I had also labeled and made covers for every single tape as well. Overall an extremely fun project.
